Lake Bakery gives us 'The Finger'!
Naniamo may have it's famous Bars and Sidney it's tasty Slices, well now the Lake has it's very own culinary delight. Make way for the Cowichan Finger. Brainchild of Lake Bakery owner , Mike Mayer. Take a base of their legendary trail bars, slop on a layer of creamy caramel, top with a thick layer of brownie and dip the whole thing in a layer of thick, dark chocolate.
From Eccles cakes to Boston Cream Pie to Fig Newtons, great treats have often taken on the names of their place of origin. Here's hoping the Cowichan Finger makes a big mark on the culinary map for Lake Cowichan.
