Go hog wild to support the Fill a Dream Foundation

You might not think of motorcycle choppers when you think of kids with life threatening conditions, but maybe you should.

If you're free June 21, hop on your hog, motorcycle or dirt bike and head on up to the Country Grocer at Cobble Hill, to check out the Freakshow Choppers Exhibit. There's no entry fee to the Show n Shine event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but donations for Vancouver Island's Help Fill a Dream Foundation are welcome.

In addition to the novelty choppers, there'll be music, ribs and coleslaw.

Since its creation almost 30 years ago in 1986, the Help Fill a Dream Foundation has fulfilled over 2,000 dreams for Vancouver Island and Gulf Island children.
