New PORTALS show gives the spotlight to volunteers
The volunteers are getting their turn in the spotlight right now at PORTALS.
The Cowichan Valley Arts Council Centre of Arts, Culture and Heritage is hosting the work of 13 noted local artists.
What they have in common is each dedicates part of his or her time volunteering at the centre.
The artists include: Bev Koski, Gail Robertson, Mo Sealey, Trish Rankin, Krystal Clappis, Gail Robb, Veronica Scott, Naomi McLean, Nancy Oliver, Gord Iverson, Suzan Kostiuck, Morgan Saddington and Jacquie Simons.
The range of artwork includes original paintings, photography, installation and jewelry.
Art! By PORTALS Volunteers opened Feb. 22 and runs until; March 8. Viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and closed on Sundays.
