New Tipperary Road now open off Riverbottom Road in Area E
A new Tipperary Road is now open for use in Area E.
The new gravel road across Mike Oliwa’s land replaces the former Tipperary located off Riverbottom Road.
Signs showing the new road were to be erected this weekend.
Oliwa’s mother, Jeannette Ponath, said her son worked with highways and Cowichan Valley Regional District staff to build the new public road to gain privacy and escape noise, traffic, and drinking parties.
The old Tipperary will be gated and signed to advise using the new Tipperary, she said.
