Boating, fishing equipment stolen from Lakes Road home

Cowichan Mounties are investigating the theft of boating and fishing equipment from a Lakes Road home.

The theft occurred sometime on the weekend, police said.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP were notified about the incident on Monday morning.

A boat motor, down riggers, fishing equipment, two GPS units and navigation equipment were taken from a boat on the property of a home in the 6000 block of Lakes.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the RCMP detachment at 250-748-5522 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
