Upstart local rock quartet The Royal Canadians open for Chilliwack Friday
The Royal Canadians are stoked about opening for national rock royalty, Chilliwack, Friday at the Cowichan Theatre.
The Cowichan band, formed two years ago by guitarist Connor Head and drummer Taylor Allum, has now been joined by guitarist Ray Visscher and bassist Ryan Scott.
They'll play tunes — such as Realize, and When The Sun Goes Down —from their fresh CD Lonely Whale, produced by multi-Grammy nominated studio whiz, Ron Thaler.
But the RCs are loyal to their home valley, having played Sunday's fundraiser for liver-transplant patient Dan Coogan, plus various times at the Duncan Garage Showroom, and SunFest '11.
The quartet is also booked for a May 25 gig opening for blues legend Tim Williams at the Showroom.
