Police arrest suspect in Crofton arson fires

A Crofton man has been arrested in connection with one of three fires in Crofton last week.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP said the man is charged with arson to property pertaining to the fire at the Crofton ferry dock. Two other fires the same day considered suspicious are still being investigated.

"As of yet, no charges have been laid in regards to the two remaining fires,'' noted Cpl. Jon Stuart.

Police are asking anyone with information on the fires to call 250-748-5522 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
