Quad stolen from Sherman Road residence
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are seeking information after a quad vehicle was stolen from a shed in the 3100 block of Sherman Road in Duncan early Monday morning.
The stolen 2007 red Runmaster ATV was valued at about $300. Tire tracks could be seen leading away from the area to the Cowichan Valley Trail off Sherman Road.
The thief also went through a vehicle in the driveway of the residence, stealing some loose change.
There has been a marked increase in the number of thefts from unlocked vehicles in the area. Police are reminding residents to lock vehicles and not leave anything of value inside.
Witnesses who may have seen someone pushing a quad in the area around 6:30 a.m. Monday are asked to contact North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
