Stuffing shouldn't be reserved just for the Christmas turkey, the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP believe.

Saturday is the RCMP's third-annual Stuff-A-Cruiser event for the kids at the Duncan Walmart Supercentre. The RCMP, in liaison with the Cowichan Valley Basket Society, has been overwhelmed with the public's response to the campaign and is counting on that generosity to continue for those in need.

The police vehicles outside Walmart needs to be stuffed with toys to make a fantastic Christmas for those who might not otherwise be so blessed.

Last year's event filled two police cars and a truck with toys, clothes and other items for youth.

The focus is on toys, but food items will gladly be accepted as well.

For those who can't be at Walmart Saturday, donations will be accepted beforehand at the detachment on Canada Avenue.
