The good and the bad of this week in Cowichan for May 15

This we like

People like Wendy Erickson don’t do what they do for the recognition.

That doesn’t make it any less important to give credit where credit is due.

People who dedicate themselves to making our community a better place are our most precious resource.

It is important that we recognize their contributions. It is important we say thank you.

Thank you Wendy.

This we don’t

Most of us don't know the worry and the fear being experienced by the friends and family of Rod MacKinnon.

But we can certainly imagine what they are going through as the search for the missing Lake Cowichan man extends into its second week.

Our thoughts are with them, even as so many people continue to do what they can in order to bring him safely home.
