QMS students achieve athletic excellence
Marie Koehler, Claire Champernowne and Duncan’s Emma Benson all received high level riding awards during the Queen Margaret’s School athletic awards banquet.
Champernowne of Seattle won for most valuable rider while Koehler of Germany received the Burton Cup senior equestrian award and Benson claimed the Dunlop Trophy for the junior equestrian program.
A pair of valley residents were in the spotlight. Brittany Mayo won the senior field hockey most improved player, senior basketball MVP, sports captain and senior athlete of the year awards. Tazjha Doman received the junior basketball MVP plaque and junior athlete of the year cup.
