Wolves spoil Purinton's home debut

Westshore Wolves played the spoilers in the home debut of Dale Purinton as Kerry Park Islanders’ coach Saturday night at Kerry Park Arena.

The Wolves edged the Islanders 2-1 in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League game on a power-play goal by Kyle Richter in the last 4 1/2 minutes.

Alex Milligan, who’s been a consistent scorer all season, had the lone Kerry Park goal.

The Islanders are at home again Saturday against Peninsula at 7:30 p.m.
