Westshore Wolves played the spoilers in the home debut of Dale Purinton as Kerry Park Islanders’ coach Saturday night at Kerry Park Arena.

The Wolves edged the Islanders 2-1 in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League game on a power-play goal by Kyle Richter in the last 4 1/2 minutes.

Alex Milligan, who’s been a consistent scorer all season, had the lone Kerry Park goal.

The Islanders are at home again Saturday against Peninsula at 7:30 p.m.
