Castle qualifies for national biathlon competition in Quebec
Bree Castle of Queen Margaret’s School earned the bronze medal in the cadet provincial biathlon championships at Mount Washington.
The Grade 8 student is now headed to the nationals in Valcartier, Quebec from March 2 to 9.
Castle’s mother and coach Sharon Klein, the deputy head of education at QMS, is thrilled with her daugher’s success and plans to join her on the adventure.
Carlee Costain just missed a spot on the podium, placing fourth.
QMS Grade 5 student Keaton Heisterman travelled to Whistler to compete in the B.C. series for freestyle skiing.
Heisterman recently took bronze in the Big Air event, came fourth in slopestyle and earned a seventh in moguls.
