Simon Lindley Publisher
Simon Lindley
Simon has been a member of the Cowichan News Leader team since July of 2012 but has been involved with Black Press since 2004, including publisher of the Business Examiner Vancouver Island. During a hiatus between 2008 and 2012 Simon worked for the Better Business Bureau and on contract with other news media. He ran in 2009 in the provincial election. Prior to 2004, Simon worked in banking and investments and spent most of his career in Alberta. After seeing the light (and the warmth!) he moved to Vancouver Island in 2003, where he enjoys the true island lifestyle from his floathome in the Cowichan Valley. Simon has one daughter of sixteen. Simon is excited to be at the helm of Cowichan's newspaper of record. “There is no place I would rather be. We have a strong product, an award-winning editorial team, agency-quality graphic designers and overall commitment to our community. We also have an outstanding array of relevant media options both in print and online. I look forward to charting the course for the News Leader Pictorial.”
